As the anesthesiologist was looking for the space between the vertebrae in her back, he told her that he would need to slightly adjust the position of the needle if she started to tingle. Now dilated to 4 cm, Amanda was given her pitocin around 11:40 am. About 20 minutes later, the anesthesiologist came in and administered the epidural. How much do you think that changed her outlook? (See below for the answer.)
